Can't say I have - I read the comic, and spend a lot of time on Warren
Ellis' Delphi forum, but haven't bothered to check out any fansites.

ObUA - The comic series TRANSMETROPOLITAN has a surprising amount of
potential for a UA game. Sure, it's sci-fi, not horror, and isn't as
immediately useful as some of Ellis' other work like HELLBLAZER, DARK BLUE
or STRANGE KISS.

But look past the tropes and get into the themes. Transmet is about the
power of the individual - it's the story of how one journalist is doing his
best to bring down a corrupt government, no matter what the cost. Spider
Jerusalem is the fucked-up, erratic face of the Chronicler - but unlike
Hunter S. Thompson, the obvious inspiration for the character, he actually
accomplishes more than his own self-destruction.

The characters could be transplanted to modern UA without too much trouble.
Some of the plotlines are stealable. And it has lots of swearing - the key
element of any good US game as far as I'm concerned.

Go read it, people.

Hate. Bullets. Bombs. Blood. Spies.
Am I getting the fuck THROUGH to you people?

- Spider Jerusalem, TRANSMETROPOLITAN #55
