Maybe, I don't know RttToEE. However, the clever (and slightly UAable) bit in
that novel, IIRC, is that the play twenty years later is *still* part of the
plot of the evil guy, so instead of seriously fighting the heroes twenty years
ago (against which he would probably have failed), he chooses to fight the real
fight against their proxies-of-sorts, the actors who play the heroes. Who, being
only actors, wouldn't really have a fighting chance against him.
Anyway, my recollection of the novel is a bit blurred, although it was a good
novel. There was something else the villain wanted to accomplish with this plan,
and some of the actors turned out to be heroes themselves or somesuch. Ah,
bugger it - just go give it a try yourself, it's definitively worth the read...
