Well... I think cliomancers could thrive in the Roman Catholic and (to
some measure) Orthodox Christian Churches, given the amount of
historically significant places they control (I say "to some measure"
for the Orthodox, since I know very little about the history of that
faith and it's holy places, beyond that IIRC an Orthodox Cathedral is
part of the Kremlin)...

The UK seems to have a governmental tradition of "don't throw that away,
