Actually no. Many catchphrases in America come from the pop culture and
quickly burn themselves out. A couple years ago "is that your final
answer?" enjoyed some popularity. Now it has faded from public view and
only gets used once in a while. Everyone is likewise burnt out on "whazzup"
and most poeple I know use "what up" again. Rhymes seem to be big, but not
like Cockney (as it was explained to me, I know no cockney) where a word is
replaced with a rhyming word, but couplets are used. For example "I'm
starving like Marvin" or "just chillin' like a villain."
ObUA: Just saw my paycheck for this week. $333.03 Creepy. On the same day
I claimed to be Il Comte too.
