Tell that to the family of a schizophrenic who got executed.  Remember, this is the country that got called barbaric by TALIBAN. (Specifically, for executing teenagers.  I think they've got a point.)  
Ames got a fair trial, as did McVeigh, as did the Unibomber.  On the other hand, they're all white.
