[UA] OT Gambler's Fallacy

I, too, am an abysmal die roller. If I don't jack my
skills up to 80 or 90 percent, I'm sure to fail most
of the time (I fumble often enough as it is.)
So, yes, in UA, I make characters who are highly
specialized. Since I often specialize in very silly
things, GMS sometimes give me extra percentage points.
I played a character with something like 95% in
Bicycling once and the GM allowed me some extra
points. In turn, I did this trick where I used my
character's bike and can of spray paint to escape a
couple men in black.
The point being that just about any system has
unlimited potential for abuse, even UA. The problem,
for me, is that I often find the abuse as
entertaining, if not more so, than the rest of the
game. I've never been one for supporting any sort of
suspension of disbeleif in games. I even tried the
Brechtian method of telling everyone what was supposed
to happen in each scene during one game and it worked
fine, especially since some of my players did
everything they could to derail the preordained plot.
Is this a good thing? I dunno. I know a lot of GMs
it would send into a foaming rage.
