saw this at the cinema last night. not bad. Murnau's definitely a good
example of an Obsession-driven character. i like the idea of the "pact with
the devil". reminds me of that seventies rock thread from a while back, and
a character who lets a demon possess him because of its musical talents. you
could switch this into movie territory, nicking chunks of shadow of the
vampire and the phantom of the opera along the way.
