Whereabouts in N. Yorks do you live? I live in Stockton-on-Tees (which could be interesting in a plutomantic/cliomantic way, as just about the only thing my town is famous for is the Stockton-Darlington railway, which is commemorated on the £5 note), & could probably help you with the area, paticularly York (my dad has gone to the races there every August for about the past 30 years, & I know it reasonably well) and Leeds (my sister was at uni there).

Yorkshire, i could contribute fairly accurate profiles
upon York (very old town, lends itself to ghosts and
old school very nicely)and bigger cities like
Sunderland and Leeds, both of whom have a bustling
club and student culture and thus could be made very
