This also accounts for the Cannibal (Baby-Killing Witch dialect): The
first Mother ascends. But, c'mon. How long does it really take someone
to displace her, considering that her only qualification was that she was
the /only/ possible canidate?
Within a century, some other cave-woman displaces the first Mother, and
she pops through the House of Redemption on her way out, and starts
killing and eating children (sounds like the opposite of being a mother to
me). That's a powerful enough concept that she probably Re-Ascends in
short order.
