[UA] Monastary Craziness (plot suggestion)

Whoops, I didn't read the actual message before I
posted.

Plot-wise, you could throw a fundamentalist group in
as a red herring. All fingers could point to an
uptight, unfunny carsalesman doing something good for
business and bad for people. Maybe the fundamentalist
car salesman, who certainly opposes the monastary full
of bikers (I suggest ex-cons who met at various
carnies across the midwest. Cheap travelling
carnivals lend an air of fun to UA and certainly seem
to fit the setting. I also just watched "Freaks.")

There could be a murder and the murder could certainly
be ritual and I would prop up an ex-biker and the
fundamentalist as likely suspects, but they have other
awful stuff which is the real reason for their guilty
expressions. The monks should be understandably
unwilling to discuss the murder (or murders) and maybe
it turns out that there's a young wanna-be satanist,
ala Rebecca DeGhoule, picking on the monks from her
upper class home very near the mountain. She and her
forlorn friends could show up at some sort of
fundamentalist protest outside the monastery, maybe
jeering from the side or offering unexpected help to
the characters (even promising to show them a thing or
two, which the savvy characters will release is all
hot air.) The young pale-people-in-black should
certainly consider themselves freer and slightly
better than the idiots clinging to a religion which
doesn't give you any real power. If you can make them
charismatic, desireable and fashionable, all the
better.
