I would argue the martyr doesn't preclude ascension, but the moment of death
and ascentioon are the same...  Same in that latter circumstrance (huh? you
ask).  Someone who embodies an idea in the public consciousness dies but no
one knows.  At that moment he ascends, then suddenly, the details of his
existance are shoved down the throats... these events occurred because of
the ascension.  I personally believe the IC should almost always monkey with
your sense of causality, like that comment in the matrix (would you have
broken it if I hadn't said so...)
