[UA] CotNG: Why no Avatars (was a jolly good fight)

One reason clicked in my head the first time I flipped
through the UA core rules.

It is possible to channel the Women everyone can have
but You or WECHBY - only if you're unaware that you're
doing it. Maybe being female is another requisite, but
as soon as you click to the fact that you're
channelling WECHBY, you break a big No-no taboo and
she immediately cuts off, never to return.

You cannot have her. You may experience her when
you're not really thinking about it, but as soon as
realization happens, you're left high and dry. Most
Avatars never thus get beyond their first channel
before being drop-kicked by Her Bitchiness.

Which probably why the attempts to channel WECHBY
ended up as a school of highly ritualised orgiastic
rites orchestrated by Her priestesses.

It also gives WECHBY a nifty niche ignoring
competitors climbing her destiny and ousting her. She
now will only target likely alternatives.
