I'd want to run a magick cabal or circle of friends
game. True, most players are familiar with Occult
Investigators and the New Inquisition are real easy to
run, but you can get that sort of thing anywhere.
Besides, magical investigation is bound to pop up in
most games anyway, especially if you have curious or
power-hungry characters. If you drop clues about a
book, an artifact, a magical secret or a magical loose
canon, players usually go looking, if only for
something to do.
My friend, Mike, ran a great Circle of Friends/Magick
Cabal type game. It offered a freedom of exploration,
common bonds and weird friction between characters,
the very stuff I look for in my gaming.
