This is a neat idea, but I think it'd probably backfire. The clueless general public would definitely hear about the "continuity error", even if they didn't notice it when they went to see the film. Before long, it'd be known as "that stupid film where they put the Sydney Opera House in downtown Chicago", thus raising the global awareness of the site.
