The Matrix was shot in Sydney, as will be the two sequels (at this stage).
The FOx studio in Sydney has been fairly busy recently, I believe.

You might also be surprised to find out how many TV shows get shot up in
Queensland. Farscape and Beastmaster both get done here; I know there are
many others.

A lot of US film-making happens here. We're cheaper than most of the US
studios & production houses, our technical people are often more competent,
and our actors are legendary for their ability to do American accents.
