Given that rather ordinary games can pick up a following around the world, 
I'd hope that rather good ones could as well.

UA is a very American game, and most of us have a reasonable handle on 
American cultures - we see them quite a lot in the media. The Occult 
Underground is an entertaining place to play, and there are plenty of films 
and books to gain background detail and scenario ideas from.

For the non-Americans on this list, do you think that the OU exist as 
written in your homelands? While the Sleeping Tiger seems like quite a 
serious danger in America (land of the Puritans and the religious right), 
I'm not sure that the tiger is quite as big and nasty in Australia.

If the Sleepers failed in their duty and the occult broke the news around 
here... well, I'm sure there'd be politicians making a news statement and 
some shocked commentary on A Current Affair, but in three years tops you'd 
see a Naked Goddess float in the SG&L Mardi Gras parade.

I'm sure that there are other differences, if I think about it.
