You should then take a more Kantian (rather than Platonic) perspective, an claim that they are the fundamental concepts of human existence, the lens through which we perceive the outside world.  Time doesn't exist in the outside world, just it's necessary for us to comprehend it, etc, and so is one of the cruel ones.
