couldn't write it because I don't LARP. I don't think Tynes does either.<<<

Was somebody talking about doing a book? In my opinion, it would be more
like an eight page booklet, if that. Unless you threw in a bunch of
game-world info that everybody already has (a la Mind's Eye Theatre), it
would easily fit into a pdf download or something.

 >>>That said, stuff like Majestic really makes me kind of newvous. Maybe
I'm an old fuddy-duddy, but I tend to like my fantasy and my reality very
clearly comparmentalized.<<<

When I run or play a freeform, it starts at the scheduled time and runs for
three hours (or whatever was previously decided) and then it concludes,
hopefully with a nice denouement.

If there's an actual campaign-style thing happening, I wouldn't have any
problem with people emailing each other about the game, but I'd rather that
they saved the good stuff for the actual event, where everybody will be
there to participate.

I had the experience of somebody ringing me "in character" once, and it was
profoundly uncomfortable. I did not want this creepy Euthanatos chick on the
phone while I'm relaxing *in my own home*, sweetie darling.

If anything it was anti-immersive due to the artificiality of the situation.

Thus ends uncalled-for rant.

 >>>I'd certainly be interested in hearing a passionate defense of
Majestic-type immersion LARPs, since my resistance is pretty much based on a
gut feeling.<<<

Is there a link where I can read up on this Majestic? We don't have it in
the antipodes.
