Queensland's Bar association is even more conservative than in other places.
Scary - especially given that most of our top politicians are members of the
Bar. (and are thus probably Templars...scary, scary.).

We also have Legal Aid and they can give you advice for free -because- the
government pays the set rate on your behalf.  So someone pays.  There is
some charity work, too.

You aren't.  Ignorance of the law is no excuse, and criminals on minor
crimes are lucrative sources of income through fines.  8)
