[UA] Day Job?!

Ha!  I KNEW you were a Californian.

Have you ever been out to Morrow Bay on the central
coast?  It's a little tourist pothole just about two
miles from San Luis Obispo and Cal Poly.

I got married near there and stayed in one of the
trailer parks and I have been dying to do a UA
adventure set in that little place.  It's about 3
hours from San Francisco and a little under half a day
from LA, if you drive sanely.

In the middle of Morrow Bay is this enormous rock,
looking like it got lost on the way to Big Sur.  The
rock, Morrow Rock, natch, forms a natural harbor but
surfing is pretty good in the area, too.  The problem
is the tides around the rock are super treacherous and
just about every year someone dies from getting too
close to its seaward edge.  The rock is also a bird
sanctuary, so climbing on it is forbidden, but it
looks just like I always imagined devil reef to look.

Facing the rock is an old power plant called "the
Pipes," it sits right at the edge of the town's
touristy Embarcadero and his these huge accordian
things beneath each of the pipes.  The fight with the
rock for domination of the town's quiet landscape.

The two landmarks lend an air of silent battle to the
town, as if each one was a rallying point for
invisible forces of air and water or machinery and
smoke.

Combined with the town's history as a marshy seaport,
I was actually thinking of working in a lot more
Cthulhu elements, but I really don't mind if the
players are cultists, as long as they try and cut a
deal for the Earth. Or their fellow man. Or a thousand
bucks.  As long, in short, as they cut a deal and
don't worship.
