Well, in that case, if you're playing Russian roulette and the barrel doesn't stop spinning with the one bullet under the hammer, you wouldn't get a charge.  But you do.

I think the "universe knows" thing has to be expanded a bit for entropomancers, because the *risk* of harm is the source of their charge.  As the previous poster said, getting shot with a gun whose load you have not checked is not appreciably different from playing Russian roulette, which is one of the most-accepted ways for a bodybag to gain a charge.
