I simply must rent this movie, it seems.

Well, the Macnee John Steed was the basis for the head of a
dipsomantic cabal in my last UA campaign...

Interesting question: when running a UA campaign, do you have
little groups of cobweb farmers/boozehounds/fleshworkers in
their own cabals, or are most of them just catch-as-catch-can?

I essentially ran "single-flavor" GMC cabals, in addition to
purely mundane groups (Mafia mobs, tongs, etc.):

* the New Hellfire Club (which arbitrated by majority vote on
territory disputes among a small population-- say 7-- of Clios
and apprentices),

* Satin Touch Films (a high-class and stylish pornographic film
production house/distributor; also renegade love pirates), and

* Johnnie Walker's Lonely Hearts Club Band (the dipsos mentioned
above).

The PCs worked for Nightshade Associates, a P.I./troubleshooting
firm that was mixed-media, if you dig. Because of their breadth
of abilities, they had a number of options when in conflict with
them. Of course, the serious badass cabal (the Silvermen) that
came after them later in the campaign was mixed-media, and was a
heck of a lot more dangerous.
