I don't know exactly what the canon response would be to this situation,
but it seems to me too much like trying to get the power without the
sacrifice. Personally I'd have the effects of the magick disappear as
the mechanomancer recovered his memories: his construct would lose its
power, and anything that he had used it for would revert to normal (even
the dead coming back to life if the clockwork had caused their death).
