Which was one of the reasons I liked GoldenEye, which had a rogue
agent who had questioned his actions and James Bond questioning where
his life had got him.  Oh, and really big explosions, of course.

There's a trend in popular films towards the flawless hero.
Personally I liked Han Solo and I feel that even a few minor flaws can
suddenly make a character far more interesting.
