As well you should. Ironically, the early Buck "let's
focus on Real Science" Rogers strips featured a trip
to Atlantis (this was back when he and Wilma were
still flying biplanes for the Orgs) with the help of
the Agentine Submersible Navy.
But the problem with discovering the truth of Ancient
cities is that the real locale turns out to have been
so much of a dump. Even if Atlantis was more
spiritually or technologically advanced than it's
neighbors Over a Thousand Years Ago it wouldn't have
taken much to beat your neighbors on the luxuries
scale. I like all the canidates for Atlantis which
have so far been put forward, from the Azores to that
island which blew up in the west Mediterranean. IMUAC
the truth is always a mixture of dissapointments and
misinterpretations which somebody shined up to sell a
McDonalds happy meal or two. Which is why, I figure,
Mak Attax does as much to undermine its own aims by
introducing random magic to McDonalds goers (those
seeking safe, easy solutions to an on-going problem
-i.e. hunger or family strife.)
