So she's a faerie.

Damn.

I've just done some ArM faerie stuff, pointing out that faeries are a kind
of pretty parasite.  They look good precisely so they can prey on people, to
steal children, feed on them, or steal the products of their creativity.
They are a sort of vampire - functionally they are UA demons.

And I think that may be Lara - a sort of memetic parasite.
