I'm going to agree with Matt here.  If you pull it off well, that'd be great, but part of what makes UA interesting is its humanocentricity (that's an odd sort of word).  Other planes begin to imply all sorts of inhuman creatures populating them, with inhuman abilities and powers.  Which delves back into things seen elsewhere. 

Of course, there still is a lot of good story materiala nd the like dealing with other realms, it's just one of those things you have to be careful about.  

(Humanocentric other realms could be interesting.  Like the weird fantasy realms created in people's heads in The Maxx or Sandman:The Kindly Ones [to a lesser extent, in the kid's head in A Doll's House])
