Kinda.  The school I went to (South of England, but not one you had to
pay to get in, or anything) there was a choice between German and
Latin as a mandatory second language.  The split was about 50/50.  I
share a flat without someone else who speaks some latin, and a friend
I go clubbing with every weekend has a smattering too.

I tend to have the problem in games that players are actually really
bad at puzzle solving.  You give them what you think is a nice simple
puzzle and they either ignore it completely (not realising it's a
puzzle) or spend 6 weeks puzzling over it and not getting it.
