I tend to think that the quotes from in game characters provide an idea of how the GMCs in th OU talk and think, an idea perhaps missing in the rest of the main book (or which would be weaker without them... their interactions and worldview are perhaps better presented in various supplements).

Somewhere I read the Latin phrase "If you can read this, you have too much education. Which is odd, as I can't read Latin, but I am overly educated.
ObUA: some magickal ritual test to detect avatars of the scholar? Or just me guessing correctly based on a limited knowledge of linguistics?
