Delicious. I like it. I think UA's greatest potential is as a low-magic
game: something the rulebook tries to encourage with its stress on
mundane skills and non-magical weirdness. Mess people up with mundane
strangeness and horror, then use magic only when it would really make
the story more poignant. UA's genre seems to be kind of an American
urban magical realism.
[Side note: Kitty Genovese also gets used as an anecdote in the
_Watchmen_ graphic novel... her story is the inspiration for Rorschak
(sp?) to begin his life of crime fighting, since he figures people are
scum and won't protect each other.]
