Also, does the blast do damae in addition to the effects
mentioned?  Otherise, it's not really a blast, it's just
an offensive spell.  I'd suggest the blast work by having
the adept scream at the target.  At lower levels, it's
just a loud noise hurting your ears.  At higher levels,
the force of the sound can shatter stuff (well, minor
blast could likely shatter glass).  I'm thinking of Akira
and the old X-Men member Banshee here, really.  But if
that doesn't suit your game, do as thou ilt.
