Yeah, me too, except I'm usually quoting the nihilists from "The Big
Lebowski". And I usually follow it with "And ve come beck tomorrow and
cut off your Johnson!"

I like to think of myself as a skeptic. It's always a turn-off for me,
though, to see the word associated with atheism and blind faith in
Science. Just look as Skeptic magazine -- I've never seen a more
credible, dogmatic bunch of Science cultists.
Okay, I'm breaking taboo here as the godwalker of the Anal-Retentive
On-Topic Stickler Bitch, so here's some ObUA:
One of the major themes in UA is the rejection of a lot of the old
Catholic baggage that usually gets attached to magic in games.
Everything works on a human level, and enlightenment -- which is NEVER
absolute -- does not empower so much as corrupt. On the other hand, UA
takes a fairly Catholic attitude toward magical rituals: none of this
Mage-esque "the ritual is just a meaningless tool to focus the magical
potential of the adept". In UA, you've _got_ to go through the motions
in order for the magic to work.
