I agree that morphic resonance makes for a swell theory of the unnatural.
In fact, one thing I'd like to see more of in published UA stuff is, quite
simply, plausible but WRONG theories about the universe and how things
work. If I could go back in tiem to when I was writing the main book, I'd
put in a few bullshit theories so that GMs & players who want ignorant (but
not completely ignorant) characters would have some options.

On impulse I got "The Mammoth Encyclopedia of the Unsolved" by Colin and
Damon Wilson. (It was only $13.00 -- and it's from the publishers of "The
Mammoth Book of Gay Erotica" "The Mammoth Book of Bridge" and "The Mammoth
Book of True War Stories".) It describes a theory by David Ash and Peter
Hewit -- the "Vortex" theory, adapted from Lord Kelvin's early physics --
that supposedly explains the paranormal.

If the reinstatement of capital punishment was clearly doing nothing to
reduce the number of murders in those states permitting it, it certainly
appeared to be cutting down on the number of confessions.
