You know, the reason it's harder to learn invented languages than it is to learn ancient ones is because invented languages are unnatural, and don't work like real evolved ones do. Real languages, even ancient ones, have numerous evolved features and contradictions that any except a very dedicated expert linguist would miss, which languages like Esperanto don't have, but make it easier to learn as they better match how the human mind works.
Relating this back to the question of what we believe, this message is an example of me believing the opposite of anyone I talk with other than my closest friends. If someone ont he list suggests paranormal or mystical phenomena, I immediately get all skeptical. But if someone starts talking about how CSICOP is great, then I immediately start questioning the scientific picture of the world, and the holes therein. What could be made of this? I'm not channeling the Two-Faced Man, as there's no deception involved. Perhaps low level MH.
