I like this, but certainly not all fictions arise this way.  Perhaps, also, some fictions are echoes of echoes fromt he last world, which become distorted more and more each time around.  So some normal, believable types might be from the last world, whereas big, unrealistic types (from mythology or superhero comics or whatever) have been warped after numerous reflections back and forth.
