WWII seems particularly ripe with examples of what could be the Trickster at work. I mean, there was Project X-ray (Let's release exploding bats over Tokyo!) the Man who never was, the whole phantom army bit, where actual life scale models of military material were produced to decoy the Germans. And who's to say the Philadelphia experiment wasn't the grandest trick of all?
