Well, shooting one's own brother -with whom one is
very close- oughta make someone take a long hard look
at their life and maybe drop the magic for a while.

It might be neat to meet the surviving brother a
couple years down the road.  Clued-in, capable and
certainly able to do magic, but now trying not to be
obsessed with it.  It would make an interesting mentor
or advisor or cautionary character.

Then again, the survivor could go completely loopy and
begin projecting his guilt onto everyone he meets or
drive  himself to extremes with his risk-taking.

Or, maybe, the ghost of the brother contacts the PCs
and wants them to help his fucked-up surviving brother
(it would be especially interesting if the ghost
contacted the PCs through a player's Entropomancer.)

I do, but I don't like to be ruled by force.  I also
don't have many teeth.
