I whole-heartedly agree. What made me like it so much
was that it was a horror movie without the tired
horror movie formula plot (which is what needs to be
done away with to get horror films back on track,
IM-not-so-HO).
I went saw Hellraiser IV in the theater with a friend
(woo-hoo Pinhead in Space!), and was shocked to see
that he was taking it quite seriously, when I started
getting MST3K on its ass. Granted, making jokes during
a movie is super-piggish, but christ, it was
Hellraiser IV. Didn't he realize it was just gonna be
crap-on-a-stick?
ObUA: The Heckler Brothers (of course, they are twins)
go to every movie theater in town on the opening
weekend of every latest Hollywood blockbuster, and
proceed to throw popcorn, yell at the screen, blurt
out spoilers, call each other on one another's cell
phones, etc. Question is why?
Possibility 1: Possessed by demons
Possibility 2: They thrive on negative energy--it
magically enhances them (you pick how). To maximize
this, they pick locations filled with people engaged
in group activities they can annoy to hell. Their
activities are escalating. Mass murderers in the
making?
Possibility 3: They are golems or automatons, whose
last command from their dead master was "Go to the
movies you ass." (which was mangled by them into "be
an ass")
Ok, my possibilities aren't that interesting, but I
like the idea of a couple of jerk-off movie theater
NPCs for the players to beat the hell out of. Wouldn't
that be carthritic or what?
