I thought it would a very funky take on vampirism. The
vampire is only allowed to act through a second party
to get to the third party, and in Cambodia the husband
has all the power. The first wife must work her magic
through the husband to get the second husband. The
mutilation is indicative or symbolic of a successful
attack (significant unnatural phenomenon).
Overly-complicated magicked detective story...

But then it could be a Cambodian version of the West
Caribbean's calling of the duppies - viscious
forked-up ghosts that can handle physical objects.
Think demons, but with a Body score one-tenth of their
original, holding rusty nails, broken bottles,
half-bricks, screwdrivers, etc. Yummy!

Cheers,

Chris.

P.S. Hey Dylan. Why didn't you come up to GenCon this
year? You being back in Cape Town and all!
