True. When I'm designing a page or doing layout for a
newspaper (or when I used to, anyway), I saw the
placement of the words as forms: columns. I imagine
the text flowing around graphic elements or being a
graphic element in and of itself. One of the reasons
I like UA is that the page layout tends to be visually
pleasing. It conveys an feeling of simplicity and
structure with its large shaded boxes and small clumps
of continuuing text. It makes you feel like its easy
to read. (My wife certainly liked it.)
