Hello!

Good stuff. I have some thoughts for just what this party is all about.

So, how about this:

Very clued-in, very powerful OU duke wants to replace the IC. Yupp, you
heard me. Replace. This guy is severely insane, and totally _not_ satisfied
with the Godwalkers he thinks make up the IC right now. Perhaps he operates
from some sort of obscure list of ascended archetypes, who knows? He is
aware that the universe will soon reincarnate, and he is desperate to make
sure that the next one will be according to his vision.

So, what to do?

Well, he has this list, see. With the archetypes he thinks is in the Clergy.
So he hits the streets with one goal; to create and shape people into
archetypes, but with his own demented twist, ultimately making _his_ version
replace the one in the IC.

Of course, going with the theme of UA, this will not work. The archetypes he
"creates" are not in synch with the rest of humanity, among other flaws.
But, being nutty and obsessed, he doesn't understand this. The consequences
of his actions, however, are really bad anyway. During his lifetime he has
destroyed several families, relationships and lifes.

The PC's are just the pawns in his insane game; the people at the party are
just the madman's attempt to get all the so-called avatars together in one
place. He believed that everyone would ascend in one glorious moment at 3:33
on New Years Day, but something went wrong... what? I haven't really thought
any further, but here are some crunchy bits for the PC's:

- They discover that the clientele of the party that keeps coming back
everytime are actually a pretty weird bunch. As they get more and more
clued-in, they might start to recognize several archetypes among the
partyers, but somehow... perversely different. And weak, not really honest
about what they believe of themselves, at least not most of them.

- Going further, the PC's befriend some of the party-goers and gradually,
slowly discover that all of them have, at one point in their life or
another, been in contact with a special man who "turned my life around".
Really, all these so-called-avatars are a pretty sorry bunch of tragic
lives.

I really don't know where to go from here, this is all written in a hurry...
The madman will likely try to make sure his plan goes as planned, obsessed
and all... and no doubt the PC's will get in the way.

Ah well, gotta run.

It must be punished.
