     Well, you should know that (like so many great UA
storylines) this has been used by the wonderous Rod
Sterling to make a pretty cool episode of "Twilight
Zone."  Actually, I think he's used variations on this
theme several times over the years it was in
production.

     That doesn't mean it's not cool, just that you
might want to search down the episodes so you can make
references to them in the game, things that your
players will see at some later date and discover that,
in fact, their cool game of UA was actually tied into
a larger tradition of "demented Seasame Street"
narratives... 

that or they'll thing you blatently stole a plotline
because you couldn't come up with a good one for
yourself.
