Well, on one hand: True.

On the other hand: So what?  It's not journalism.  Neatness doesn't count.  If my description of the seamy underbelly of Rock Island IL is ten years out of date and misremembered... does it really matter for the purposes of a RPG being enjoyed by players in WA, CO and TN?  There's an off chance that some day some player might drive through Rock Island and say "Huh.  So that spooky abandoned railroad terminal Greg remembers from college got torn down and turned into a boutiquey strip mall."  But does that really matter for the game?
