I'll point out two comic books that I noticed the other day while cleaning my room that seem rather good material for UA Jr: The first is a vertigo mini-series "Love Street" which explains how John Constantine got involved in the whole occult underground as a teenager. The story itself didn't do much for me, but the interesting bit is comparing the young Constantine with the older, experienced OU member he is.
The other would be Miracleman (Marvelman in the UK), primarily the bits with Kid Miracleman. KM was thirteen years old and the most powerful being on the planet. So he became a completely amoral (not immoral) being. Think about it: the way you teach a kid right from wrong is by punishing them when they do wrong and rewarding them when they do good. So what happens when you have a kid who cannot be punished and can just take whatever he wants from someone else? He never learns the difference between right from wrong and is incredibly destructive. This seems a much more reasonable scenario to me than Superman being told as a kid that he'd have to use his powers for good, and that single statement is enough to make him the most ethical being on the planet.
Anyway, I'm certain that there's numerous other comics that also could be used, but I tried to stick to those that were pretty good for UA anyway.
