Hi Dylan
I am brewing a new UA campaign idea and one of the
older uses for the IC is Parasitic Avatars. Rather
than an absolute Archetype the Parasite Avatar
channels the Arch. but at a different slant; one was
the Fool that got older and wiser but instead of
getting dumping he started channeling the Sinister Old
Man; a wnadering Odin-type figure with a sacred wound.
My rational was an old fool that got renounced and is
seeking to usurp the older Fool archetype. Often with
guns and cocaine involved.
Thus is is possible to have the Warrior and Soldier
competing but they are similar enough to only allow
one. Parastic Avatars supply only one channel at
01-50%. Of course there are no Godwalkers.
Another great use for Avatars and Archetypes is the
psychodrama possibilities of the group ascension. They
all flash but one gets to the Statosphere first like a
metaphorical sperm to the egg. The remaining ones
become demons that are blown in all notches in all
madness guages. They'd make fine immortal-cult
antagonists. Obsessively coming back for punishment.
And their Avatar Skills don't die with the body they
keep on getting better. Kind of a supernatural,
corporate hell...
Cheers,
Chris.
P.S. I'm surprised there is no drug-burned, Neurotic,
Woody Allen archetype. Who would be the poor
unsuspecting twit that would be channelling that one.
