A thought about children in the Unaverse. Children don't think the same way adults do, and spontaneously make up and use rituals all the time. (Remember "Step on a crack"?) Seems to me, children should have a far easier time with magic, both accepting its existance, and using it, than adults. (Read Tom Sawyer for examples of rituals children use.) Adults would dismiss this stuff as nonsense.

If a child really did obtain magical powers, their parents would definitely be unable to help, and would probably freak out if the child actually demonstrated such power to them.

One could come up with all kinds of scenarios about magical powers kids have. Oh shit...did I just create the "UA babies" series?
