    Jeez. This was like ten years ago. As I recall, Kai - that was the students name, no, really -
came at Sensei - shuffled in, and slashed or lunged with the knife. After that, if I recall
correctly, Sensei Wiggins either stepped in and seized his wrist, or avoided, stepped back, then
stepped forward fast and seized his wrist. In both cases he let him slash once and caught his hand
after it passed. Again, it's been a while, although it was a rather dramatic demonstration.
Timing was the key. And speed. After that, Sensei showed us what you could do if he was stupid
enough to charge you. Heh. Kai ended up flying across the room. Very cool.
