Clearly you're a victim of the Eyre-omancy spell, "Fevred Pining" The key to the
caster is in the betweenery. The place where you're close is between the houses,
the place where she's vulnerable (without skin) is between the breasts. Perhaps
you're wedged between two pining sisters, one wanting you and one your wife.
You're both going to have to read some Mark Twain or _The Damnation of Theron
Ware_  to reinforce your defenses.
