Ooh, the whole golem thing is covered in some detail in "Lawyers, Guns and Money," under the heading "The Virgin Ein-Sof."

As for the bit in the main book about how many golems are destroyed before they reproduce... er... um... (waves hands wildly) that refers to non Ein-Sof golems who reproduce differently, maybe!  Yeah, that's plausible.
