[UA] Channelling Multiple Archetypes

Hidey-ho.

Due to some discussion on the UAN list and through private
email, I've been pondering the concept of channelling multiple
avatars.
(In short, the Jack King character I wrote is a Pilgrim avatar,
but uses much of the symbology of the Fool. His alter ego is
that of "Quixote the Clown," and Don Quixote was a strong
influence on the character. I was trying to map Pilgrim to
Knight, and a specific type of knight dedicated to "damnfool
crusades", and now it seems hopelessly muddled. Note, it was not
my intent to write the character as a dual avatar at all, but I
think it came out that way unconsciously.)

Now, while I understand this is verboten as per canon UA rules,
it appeals in a sort of Jungian way. And Archetypes seem alot
more welcoming of "fellow travellers" than schools of magick.
The downside, of course, is that you could lose out on the
"archetypalness" and such a thing could lend to munchkinism of
the darkest stripe.

However, in thinking about Robertson Davies' THE MANTICORE and
its discussion of Jungian archetypes within us, I find myself
curious about how that could impact or change the cosmology of
UA.

A True King/Pilgrim sounds feasible, as does a True
King/Demogogue. A Hunter/Masterless Man would be different than
a Hunter/Savage. A WECHBY/Merchant is frightening, as is a
WECHBY/Mother. A WECBY/Flying Woman makes sense. A
Mother/Confessor seems to as well. A Necessary Servant/Two-Faced
Man could be a fascinating thing.

However, what about a Trickster/Fool? Can the two coexist?
Masterless Man/Dark Stalker? I'd say probably not.

Ultimately, it seems that canon UA implies that a character can
put his own spin on an Archetype. But it seems that the
influence of these spins on can be drawn directly to other
Archetypes.

Thoughts?
